Courtesy Call by Returning and Departing JICA Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (July 8, 2019)

Members of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers living in Chiba Prefecture who are engaged in international cooperation activities, paid a courtesy call to the Chiba Prefectural Government. The visitors were 6 volunteers who have completed their activities in each host country for about two years from 2017, and 15 volunteers who left for their host countries after July 2019.

Mr. TAKATA Hirohito, Director of Partnership Program Division 1 in JICA Tokyo, gave a speech following the introduction of the attendees. Afterwards, each member of the departure squad and returnees talked about their experiences and aspirations at the places they were assigned to, as well as giving a brief self-introduction.

On behalf of the Chiba Prefectural Government, Mr. TANAKA Tsuyoshi, Excutive Director for Public Relations, greeted them with words of congratulations and strong support.

Next, representatives of returning and departing volunteers returned their greetings and shared their thoughts and determination for JOCV activities. Finally, all attendees took a commemorative photo together with CHI-BA+KUN.
