Chiba Prefecture has participated in Japan Day every year since 2005 when the partnership between Chiba Prefecture and the City of Düsseldorf first began. Supported by many organizations including the German-Japanese Association in Niederrhein and Reitaku University, the Prefecture set up a booth to promote Chiba, where it exhibited panels and distributed pamphlets on the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Chiba Prefecture, exhibited panels on the exchange between Düsseldorf and Chiba, and set up a corner for janken (rock, paper, scissors) competition, origami craft-making, and calligraphy experience. Many visitors stopped by the booth, making it a great success.
